So I have normal skin it’s not too oily or too dry. I hate products from stores made for “skincare” because really they promise us one thing and then your skin just becomes worse than it was. So for years now I’ve done everything home made. Why break the bank for products that leave you with a broken heart than rather using what you have at home that will give you results!
Once a week I to an intense skincare regimen and they comprise of the following:
1.STEAM YOUR FACE! OPEN UP THOSE PORES! Take a pot of boiling water and place your face over it to help open up those pores. Ba careful to not burn yourself!
2. EXFOLIATE! Now exfoliating to get rid of all the oils that built up in the week and remove dead skin cells, BUT what products from stores do is completely strip our face of essential oils and dries it out. So what I do is take organic honey and sugar, mix them in a bowl, then add 3 drops of tea tree oil or olive oil. Mix them all together and apply it to my face and rub it very softly with the tips of my fingers and leave it on for 10 minutes.
3. (OPTIONAL) For those who have blemished skin Do a cinnamon and honey mask. Mix them in a bowl together and apply and leave it on your face for 10 minutes.
4.After I exfoliate and or do my blemish routine I then use an extremely gentle masque, peel off or I make one out of gram flour(the yellow flour), sugar, honey, and milk. Literally cake mix on your face haha! Or you can get Queen Helene’s Grape Seed Extract Peel Off Masque. This mask is easy, affordable, gentle and leaves your skin moisturized!
5.A mask as well kind of strips off essential oils SO do a moisturizing mask next! Make a cup of delicious organic green tea! Save the tea bag and place the cup of green tea into your fridge because you will need it later. Tear open the green tea bag and dump all the green tea leaves into a bowl. Add honey, milk, and tea tree oil or olive oil, and mix! Apply it to your face and keep it on for 15-20 minutes.
6.After you have washed off your moisturizing mask, take a very gentle daily cleanser to remove any excess oils. Before I wash my face with a cleanser I usually take a shower so the steam from my shower deep cleans more and also let the moisturizing mask sink in a bit more. I use the Noxema cleanser with moisturizers.(It comes in a blue container)
7.Remember that cup of green tea we set aside? Take it out your fridge, and there is your daily toner. Use a cotton pad or cotton ball, dip it into the green tea and rub it all over your face. Let it dry. Toner is to bring back pH balance to your skin after you have washed it. You should use toner daily after you wash your face in the morning and at night.
8. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER. MOISTURIZE. MOISTURIZE. I use pond’s clarant B3 moisturizer, you can use whatever is your moisturizer but don’t forget it, it’s so important to keep your face moisturized.
Hope you enjoy :) What do you think about all of this?
